Have you watched Avatar recently? I just did a few days ago (Avatar 2). Can't wait for the 3rd part.

We watched ATWOW a few weeks ago on our 3D TV. The viewing before that was just 2D. What a difference 3D makes on the wide shots, like Lo'ak sitting alone on his ilu in the middle of the vast ocean. And we managed to watch the 1st of the 2 bonus features discs in the ATWOW collectors edition. Oh, and Atokirina just finished the Frontiers of Pandora game a couple of days ago.
It's too bad this site is so quiet. I was hoping for a resurgence when ATWOW came out, but either everyone has moved on or was too busy, or simply couldn't find this site and assumed that NaviBlue is just long gone. I'm a ilttle out of touch with the new generation of Avatar fans on Discord and Reddit. I really miss the old NaviBlue shenanigans.

Heh... After the original NaviBlue went offline, I was trying to reach the original owner for years, but he ignored both my e-mails and those Diana sent... He did not bring it back online after Avatar 2 came to cinemas, and the domain keeps being renewed. A few months ago we had a new member signing up, from Germany (I guess someone Elyris knows and brought him on board). As for this place being found online, I did not do much (or anything) about it recently, just had no energy for that. I had the idea of investing a bit in a better forum software ($160 XenForo instead of free phpBB3) and adding a few more features, but it is not justified under the current circumstances. Now, there is still some hope for all this, I am not giving up that easily for running this place for, what, 9 years?

Anyway, I watched Avatar 2 for the second time a few days ago (My wife is in the US of A for one month, kids are in school, so why not) and enjoyed it again. I was postponing this for many months.

So, how is your recovery going? Is life mostly back to normal?

You've only seen ATWOW twice? Not what I'd expect from someone who's run a fan site for 9 years.

I'm mostly back to normal, with the exception of the occasional loss of balance, my right vocal chord still paralyzed (but it still doesn't stop me from talking too much), and my left arm still feels like it's in cold water and can't feel temperature. I should be going back to my full-time post-production job next month (been off work since Dec.18). It's been nice not going in to work though.

I guess no word yet from Elyris?

Yep, she disappeared completely. It happened once in the past when the forum was down for 2 weeks one January (2020, 2021, I am not sure due to my inability to extend the hosting. I may send a snail-mail letter soon.

As for me watching Avatar 2 only twice, well... I am looking forward to watch it in proper IMAX again, before they release Avatar 3. Nothing really matches IMAX.

Just shocked to hear that Jon Landau has died at age 63. He had lost a lot of weight over the last year. What a massive loss to our community.

Good morning. I had really hoped a few of the old gang would have found their way here after ATWOW was released. Its too bad that traffic wasn't automatically redirected here if they searched for "Naviblue".

I just realized that tomorrow marks 6 months until Avatar: Fire and Ash is released. There's talk of an AvatarMeet in Las Vegas in January.

Well, after the original naviBlue went offline, we made many efforts to reach the guy running it, offering to buy the domain and what not, there was never a single response.

Just peaking in after seeing you old guys talking about the past. I miss the good old days on NB, all the people, the threads, the fan fiction and how that place brought people together outside the forum.

Diana, Lil Grace, Sagune, Kiyik, leaf-something, Elyris, Russel and so many more that I wonder where they are today and if they sometime looks back at those days...

Diana is still in Florida, doing her stuff, Elzris disappeared over a year ago. Not the first time that it happens to her, But it was never for this long. I just hope she is ok.
