Problem with cookies?

Post by Kiyevanie »

Elyris just contacted me - she has problems with reaching the forum and the site seems to tell her that there's a problem with her cookies.

Can she be more specific?

1. What program is reporting the problem (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Mozilla, some other)?

2. What exactly does the message say (she can copy/paste it)?

She can also contact me directly on facebook.

Oh, also, she should be able to jump into chat directly using this link:

chat/flashchat.php

She will maybe have to log in again once there.

She managed to come in with a different browser now, so I hope she can answer your questions a bit better herself ;)

Oh, and she could reach the chat just fine, it was only the forum that made problems as I understood it.

Thanks Kiy :)

Well I could log into the site ('home' page), but when I tried to reach the forum (click on link on top) it took some time and then I got a notice that "The page needs too long to answer or doesn't asnwer" with thte hint to check my cookies (called "Umleitungsfehler" - no clue what it is in enslish).
After changing to chrome it worked again and now it works just as good with firefox. So I guess it was something firefox did (maybe a kind of 'installing a new version' stuff or so).

Sorry to have caused trouble.

You haven't caused any trouble, it's good to know when something doesn't work as expected. Just keep reporting it all, with as many details as possible. You also have my facebook contact so feel free to report there too if you can't get into the forum.
