Re: A real pain in the txim and handling zombies thread...
Some [insert swearword of choice here] somehow - I don't have the faintest idea how - got her dirty paws on my credit card (probably the replacement card the bank sent me cause my old one was broken). And used it to spend an insane amount of money.
I'm completely broke at the monent, dealing with the bank, the police... you name it.
Not sure if I wanna cry, vomit or kill that bitch

OME - that's awful! I hope things will clear up soon. Wish you luck there.
Furthermore: I would say in that order, if any.

I wish you 15 minutes one-on-one with the thief, with no witnesses.
Anyway, here I get free SMS notification on each transaction with my bank account, including cards, so a thief has a chance to make only one transaction before I block the card.
Btw, I wish your thief to get caught in Africa.

I like that idea. Just her, me and a nice, handy baseball clubflighter wrote:I wish you 15 minutes one-on-one with the thief, with no witnesses.
Just to make things more comfortable for me my PC seems to get serious with the idea of fading out... when I started it it made some terrible noise - I'm busy making backups right now.

Re: A real pain in the txim and handling zombies thread...
Where are they getting all these stupid reality shows from? TV has gotten so damn stupid with this fad. Are people so nosy that they need a stimulus to satisfy their thirst for gossip? I used to gripe about dumb commercials, but now those have been replaced by "whatever those things are" about reality shows. Hair fads, marriage fads, hoarder fads, cooking fads, all just a waste of money trying to glorify some anonymous wannabe. I bet less than 10% of the viewers know who Olivia de Haviland is? Or Sophia Loren? Robert Taylor? How many people remember Fay Wray? People who entertained audiences for over half a century are forgotten faster than a hard bump on the head.
Who remembers this old cuss?

What about these two?

Amazingly, they all worked in numerous movies, together.

Can't find that damn photo, but...
There are a lot of photos like... If you know who this is (Kanye West or Kim Kardashian) but you have no idea who this is (Nikola Tesla),... then something is really wrong with this world.

I know who Kim Kardishian is, but I have no idea of what she is so popular for.

I guess she's popular... for being popular. And - according to the yellow press - for shaking the very same kind of ass I was somehow trying to hide for like 20 years into every camera available. Or something.
Ya know what's even worse than reality shows? "Scripted reality shows". That's what they bother us with over here at the moment... so the reality ain't even real but the output of some script writer lacking anything resembling creativity, intelligence or common sense. Those shows replaced the court shows, trashy talk shows and are "seasoned" here and there with cooking shows. Ugh.
I miss the times when - in case of being sick - I could switch on the TV and watch things like "Charlies Angels" or "The A-Team". Sigh.
@Bogo: Sophia Loren - to me she's always been one of the most beautiful women in existance... I always wanted to have a face like her.

Tell me about it ....
Without broadband interwebs I wouldn't be able to get myself together when I'm at home. It's gotten pretty ridiculous - and it's worsening.
At least there are some 'crime' series you can watch without feeling like your brain is running out (mostly on repeat though).
In a radio-comedy last week on of the characters stated that it was all a conspiracy rooting back to the agenda 2010, making TV channels air more worse programs every year, so that sick people are so annoyed by it they will voluntarily go rather back to work then watch this mess.

How about those survivalist reality shows? They film someone in trouble and don't do anything to help. Yeah, that's fake as hell. If I was the person in trouble, I guarantee if I survive, I'm kicking someones butt later.Kiyevanie wrote:I guess she's popular... for being popular. As for women in show business. There are 3 who I think made such an impact to the movie industry, that they deserve to have a hospital or school named after them.

Re: A real pain in the txim and handling zombies thread...
Oh yeah - how could I forget those survival shows? They're starting here too. I haven't watched any of them, but got a glimpse of what's going on there from some (rather evil - I like them) commentary on my newspage. From what I've read there it would be a blessing for humanity if the people they put on the lost island, into some jungle or wherever else would never make it out of there. Like, raise the average IQ of society by a two-digit-percentage
Awsome actress ladies of the past: I haven't seen many movies with Olivia de Havilland, but how could I ever forget Maureen o'Hara? Shame on me, because she's one of my favourites too. Starting with her name, her red hair - and her spirited and funny personality to go with it

Re: A real pain in the txim and handling zombies thread...
So,
Some god damn bastard wshed me a happy new year by breaking into my garage and stealing an electric chainsaw, powerful drilling machine, electric jigsaw, some cables, wheelbarrow, showel, and probably few smaller things I haven't noticed yet. If buying all new, it is around 400 EUR or so total, but in this local economy, it all IS a considerable loss.
UGHHHHHHHHHHHH. May the chainsaw protection fail and him split his head into 2... or 3.

Thanks! Anyway, a friend of mine say few suspects, known to the police, in my area, so I updated the cops on that.

No. Don't let them get caught. Then they will legally get away with it. They already stole the weapon that can castrate em. Right. Guess they didn't read the safe operation manual. What? You finger prints were on the weapon? Well, since it was yours to begin with, its understandable that your fingerprints are on it.

Re: A real pain in the txim and handling zombies thread...
The flat above mine got sold; that's the reason why the people above me moved out on New Year's Eve.
Now there's a message hanging in the hallway - the new owners want to renovate the place (makes sense, of course) before they move in and informed the rest of the house that there's gonna be noise for the next six weeks.
Started yesterday - I was working from home and already thought "ugh". Well, they were working at it today again. Starting at about 8:30. On a Saturday morning. I was ready to commit murder...
And that for the next six weeks???
