Hotel lifts... oh yeah, I know what you're talking about. They're usually way too small and way too slow for the workload they have to do. And smell funny. I hate them. Especially as I'm one of those people who always fight to not panic in a crowded, confined room. Ugh... *shudders*

My 96 yo grandmother got robbed in her own home last Saturday! Two men forced them selves through the door, told her that they worked for some company and needed to get into her home, said it was urgent. Then they managed to push her for her bank account, stole 15.000skr and a whole lot of jewelry that had been in the family for generations!

My tremor's worse...

Met a neurologist last Friday, gonna try some new medicines but no big hopes for that as I react badly to mostly any kind of medication.
So in a few months I might have to do a DBS surgery, a brain surgery in other words...

So no meds yet and the only thing helping against my tremors is alcohol...

One glass whiskey a day keeps the tremors away....

Well, alcohol is a muscle relaxation and as tremors is the muscles acting weird, it helps... sadly!

But my dr. is looking through the list of meds I haven't taken yet and will get to me when he finds anything I can try. Gonna take a while though as I've already tried most of them...

It's interesting (and painful, I know). My wife has a relatively high blood pressure. So she was given meds by her doctor. One day she had a high BP crisis so I took her to my friend from primary school, also a doctor (and much younger than her original doctor). He said that one particular medicine she was given is totally ineffective for people from Africa because of a certain enzymes in their stomach which breaks the active ingredient down. He prescribed another med to her and she is now fine.

Sorry, man! it is scary. I am lucky enough that the IT industry was not affected at all. In fact, the workload had increased a lot since this time last year because now everyone has to work from home, or wants to. But to think what-if (if I was working in the hospitality or something similar), it is scary, really scary!

Looks like I'm gonna lose my medication due to new rules for medical cannabis here in Sweden.
As I have bipolar disorder type 2, they've decided that it will be bad for me and cause psychosis if I take it, even though I've had it for more than 3 years now without any symtoms.

Just got enough meds to last me to the end of the year and after that... Well, we shall see if I can manage to survive...

come over here. the small place i live at has like 4 distibutors so far. population around 5,000.

I have 4 options basically.

1. Move to a country where it's legal, thinking of Germany as they're legalizing next year.

2. Grow my own or buy from a dealer, even though I might get caught and punished for it.

3. Make a very risky operation to put in a tense device in my spine that have a 60% risk of making me paralyzed from the waist down.

Aw man, I thought it was getting legalized in most western countries. It's legal here in Canada since 2 years ago, and one of the step kids is using it to self medicate their depression. There's distributors on every street corner pretty much.
And I guess you're not allowed any plants at all legally? (I know in NL you can have up to 5 plants for private use). I'd definitely share your preference for using weed over getting a freaky implant.

Word of advice: if you're considering moving abroad, start looking into your options asap. I guess within the EU it isn't quite as complicated as outside, but there's still a lot of stuff to arrange/consider.
