Oh, didn't heard of that before.
Hmm .... a row of organisms look pretty unusual (at least for the westerners eyes).
Baobabs for example

The crazy flora of the socotra islands

And all the other weird stuff out there in the wild

I KNEW IT - I KNEW IT. It's a fricking spider. As it's always a spider when Xa posts a 'fantastic animal'

Spiders (small ones!) are our friends. Mosquitoes bring diseases including malaria, and fellow spiders eat mosquitoes. Therefore, we are friends

Re: Pandoran life on earth?
I prefer swallows. >_>
I am arachnophobic. Not really badly (during summer I can even handle it better) but enough to make me crich and make my adrenalin rise until my heart shortly hurts - even with just a picture (especially the close-ups).
I somehow thought I might give it a chnce after the boss gave a positive response.
I know it's irritional, but I simply 'hate' spiders- they simply cause a strong physical reaction in me and that's it (I get a ver similar feeling when I see couples out on the street really acting as 'couples' too btw. and I can't change that either). That's just how it is. They can be as 'pretty', colourful or biologically fascinating as they want I just can't handle them (and it was pretty much the main reaons why zoology fell out of the list for the 'advanced' studies during my time at the uni).
So yeah - sorry but that's how it is.

Sorry
But... if, as part of your work, you have to handle them, what would you do?!

They best way to overcome your fear is to face it. That's how I overcome my fear of dogs!!
Eyup! I were just like you are with spiders, Elyris. I couldn't look at a dog, even on a picture a few years back...
As for the spoilers and the spiders, it won't happen again...

Re: Pandoran life on earth?
I ... don't think that this is simply true. I just can't see how - let's say jumping off a bridge will 'heal' from the fear of heights or falling. All fears, no matter how irritional they seem at the start got their source. All fears got a reason behind them. They're never just completely out of the blue.
There are a lot of things I fear and I cna already tell for sure that it won't get any better from forcing me to have the cause of the feeling around all the time - that's more like torture than anything else.
*not going to click that spoiler*

Re: Pandoran life on earth?
You can... definitely no spider there. Actually it's an adorably cute picture
Personally I'm completely fine with spiders. They ain't my favourite animals - I prefer kittens and puppies -, but they're fascinating and the one Xa showed really looks like it came right away from Pandora.
It's wasps that get me running away, screaming out loud.

Good point, Elyris. Tropical beach, (almost) white sand, wearing shoes, or even slippers, should be banned.

Re: Pandoran life on earth?
Indeed, kinda strange... well, whatever makes them happy, I think.
(I could understand wearing shoes during the day though - white sand in the sun can get frickin hot)
The beach itself: Just very, very beautiful.
