So, I've been quite into TV series lately and wanted to discuss them with you. And I'm sure everybody watches them sometimes and maybe wants to share it with us.

I guess everybody recognizes it, at least. Finished the first season yesterday. It's pretty awesome, if you ask me. The kind of entertainment that kept me concentrated and at the edge of the seat till the very end. Can't wait for the next season. And what's interesting, all the characters in House of Cards have something on their conscience - but it doesn't prevent you from liking them. I can't say that I don't like Frank or Claire - because I certainly do. Even if they're bad people. Or maybe I'm bad as well?

I'm watching the first episodes. A bit dull, but the atmosphere is nice. Heard that the second season's action goes much faster. So I'll give Carnivale a try.

Never heard of any of them.

I heard of House of Cards before, even though I have yet to watch an episode. Voices are, it's pretty good.
I unfortunately never heard of Carnivale, though.

About TV shows that I personally watch;
There's of course Friendship is Magic, but I also like to watch Legend of Korra, How I met your mother and sometimes the Big Bang Theory (still getting into that one).

The Walking Dead was so sad this past Sunday.

Games of Thrones (read the books first, follows really well)
Once Upon A Time

Watched all 4 seasons of The Walking Dead in the last couple of months (I had never seen any of them before that, then got hooked).
Now I'm half way through season 2 of American Horror Story.
Love The Big Bang Theory, and I'm just starting season 4 of How I Met Your Mother.

Does anyone watch "Reign", "Haven", "Hannibal" or "Orphan Black"? Those are just a few of the shows that I work on, but never watch the stuff that I work on - it's like bringing your work home.

We're working on Guillermo del Toro's new series "The Strain", based on his books. He's heavily involved with the show and has been to my work a couple of times already, but he's always gone by the time I get to work.

Haven't seen any of them, but read about hte 'horror' ones.

When I started working another girl at work had a coffee cup saying "I am sherlocked"

10 months later I decided to try to find the first episode ..... well - I couldn't even wait 2 days for watching the second episode and this although I persuaded mpm to watch the 1st one with me yesterday. .... I guess i need suhc a cup too now.

The music's good too - as are all dialouges (of course, it's british).

I have an odd relationship to TV watching nowadays. I practically never watch using my television, usually only on the laptop. There is no longer a cable hookup to my TV either. And as for what I watch, I much prefer something I can marathon. As far as starting a series now I am now not watching to conclusion, maybe just 1-3 seasons in. There are ongoing shows that I'll watch until the finish (Mad Men, House of Cards barring a terrible drop in quality), but otherwise I'm looking for more variety.

Recently things I've watch included Its Always Sunny In Philadelphia (still pretty funny, but not to the level I remember), Generation Kill (pacing was often slow, a cast of mostly forgettable characters) Alpha House (bad political satire which is made worse by Garry Trudeau, the principal 3 characters are decent with John Goodman being the standout), Yes, Minister (good political satire, very droll...), Battlestar Galactica (almost done with the first season, some confusing loose ends, religious undertones and their significance are odd to judge).

I saw the first two seasons and burned through them quite quickly. Very interesting show. I saw a bit of the third season, but I think my interest dropped off like it has with a lot of other things.

Its a very interesting show. I thought recently that you probably would have worked on it. I saw it on AmazonPrime and marathoned it in just a few days. Haven't seen the second season since it isn't included with the streaming service without additional fee.

Great show, one of the best I've seen. I have no trouble loathing most of the characters though. Their motivations are easy to understand but hardly sympathetic for me.

I have the first 3 seasons on DVD. I certainly would not want to live in that kind of society. Little snot king: "Bring me his head". All in all, I can't wait for season 4 to come out on disk. Little snot king gets killed. Heck, just about everybody gets killed.

It's why I stopped reading the books a while ago and never went into the TV show: Every time I like one of the characters, the author kills them off
(Okay, it was rather obvious that the character played by Sean Bean wouldn't have a good survival chance. His characters usually never have...)
